Tanzania

Step into the heart of mission as SENT Global launches its Tanzania Pilot Mission, a sacred first step into one of the poorest regions we serve worldwide. Last year, we were unable to move forward due to political unrest in the country, but those restrictions have now lifted and we are ready to serve. This year, a small core team will travel by invitation only to listen, discern, and lay the foundation for long term ministry, with a special heart for prison outreach and skills based programs that restore dignity and hope. This mission is not only a pilot but also a season of forming strong Catholic relationships and partnerships that will become the foundation for SENT Global’s future presence in Tanzania. A full team mission trip is prayerfully planned for 2027, with applications opening in Fall 2026, as we continue to follow where God is leading us to serve the most vulnerable, feeding both body and soul.

Mission Focus #1

Prayer Ministry

At the heart of our Tanzania pilot mission is a deep commitment to prayer and evangelization. Our team is actively meeting with Catholic priests, local universities, and our partners at AVA to form lasting relationships rooted in unity with our Protestant brothers and sisters. Together, these partnerships allow us to pray with the faithful following Mass and support the Church’s mission on the ground.

We carry out prayer ministry in mother and child wards within hospitals, witnessing the Lord move powerfully as families receive prayer and healing. We also enter men’s prisons to help the incarcerated encounter Christ through prayer and evangelization. In addition, our team travels into the garbage dumps to share the Gospel and bring the hope and power of Jesus to those living in extreme poverty.

Mission Focus #2

Community Initiatives

Our Tanzania mission is built on strong local partnership. We will be working alongside AVA, a nonprofit organization in Tanzania that leads a skills development program teaching welding, construction, and practical trades that help men and women secure long-term employment and stability.

As part of this collaboration, SENT Global will help launch a medical clinic within the AVA skills program. While our team will begin the groundwork during this pilot trip, the vision is for this clinic to continue operating after we leave, serving the community through local doctors and nurses. In addition, our team will serve in the garbage dumps, providing food to those living in extreme poverty and delivering Easter meals to families in need. Everywhere we go in Tanzania , we will be bringing food, dignity, and the love of Christ.

Mission focus #3

Home Visits & Family Ministry

Lasting change in Tanzania begins with investing in the next generation. SENT Global partners with AVA, a skills and development program for young adults after high school, where students are trained in sewing, welding, construction, artistry, and other practical trades that lead to meaningful employment.

By investing in this community, we help equip individuals to secure jobs, provide for their families, and break the cycle of poverty. The medical clinic we are establishing within the AVA program is also part of this long-term vision. This is not a temporary outreach, but a sustainable resource that AVA is committed to maintaining long after our team returns home, ensuring continued care and hope for the community.
