Tanzania

SENT Global is excited to launch a Pilot Mission Trip to Moshi, a town in northern Tanzania that we believe God has clearly called us to serve. This year, a small, hand-selected team will be sent to Moshi to begin this new chapter of ministry. During the trip, the team will lead a variety of outreaches, including providing medical care to local communities and partnering with a local school that serves students with disabilities. We are deeply grateful to already be working alongside the Catholic community on the ground. SENT Global has received a formal assignment and blessing from Bishop Ludovick Joseph Minde, and we are honored to partner not only with him, but also with local priests, religious sisters, and a passionate group of Catholic young adults. Together, we will come alongside and support the meaningful work already taking place in Moshi. This is a significant and exciting step forward for SENT Global as we expand into Tanzania, and we are expectant for all that God will do through this new mission.

Mission Focus #1

Prayer Ministry

At the heart of every mission is a deep commitment to prayer and evangelization. In Tanzania, our team will partner with established Catholic ministries in Moshi, serving alongside local priests, religious sisters, and parish communities. Our goal is not only to meet physical needs, but to share the hope of the Gospel through our words, actions, and presence. As we serve local communities, we will have opportunities to pray with individuals and families, offer encouragement and testimonies, and share Christ’s love. Prayer will be woven throughout our medical outreach days and visits to rural Maasai villages.

Each morning, we will begin centered on Christ through Mass with the Sisters of Our Lady of Mt. Kilimanjaro and local parish communities, followed by prayer and reflection to prepare our hearts for the mission ahead.

Mission Focus #2

Community Initiatives

Our Tanzanian mission is built on strong local partnerships. We will serve alongside priests, religious sisters, and medical professionals from the Catholic Diocese of Moshi, working together to support three different communities during our time in Tanzania.

Our first partnership is with the Sisters of Our Lady of Kilimanjaro at St. Francis School for Children with Disabilities. Here, we will spend time with the students through games, art projects, and shared meals. We will also help improve their outdoor space by restoring their playground and providing new swings for the children to enjoy.

We will also travel with local priests to Misto wa Tembo, an area outside of Moshi where many Maasai families live and face daily challenges accessing food, water, and basic resources. During our visit, we will bring food, clothing, and needed supplies while spending time building relationships, learning from the community, and offering prayer and encouragement.

Our third ministry site is a special assignment given to us by the Bishop of Moshi: serving at the Mbosho Parish dispensary. This small rural medical clinic serves a deeply impoverished community where even the cost of a basic medical visit can be out of reach for many families. During our time there, we will host a two-day free medical clinic in partnership with local doctors, offering various medical services and bringing much-needed healthcare closer to those who need it most.

Mission focus #3

Empowering lasting change

Lasting change in Tanzania begins with investing in relationships and building strong local partnerships. Our partnership with the Diocese of Moshi will serve as the foundation for future SENT Global missions, allowing us to walk alongside the local Church and support the ministries already serving their communities.

One of these important relationships began during our visit to Moshi in February 2026, when our team met with the Bishop of Moshi and local Catholic medical professionals to discuss the healthcare needs of the region. During that meeting, the Bishop entrusted SENT Global with a special assignment: to assist a rural medical dispensary that has been struggling to continue serving its community.

During our mission, we will host a two-day medical clinic at the dispensary, providing free healthcare services to families who may otherwise have limited access to medical care. Working alongside a team of medical professionals, we will offer consultations, treatment, and support while building relationships with patients and the local healthcare workers. Our hope is that this clinic will be more than a one-time outreach. We pray that this will be the beginning of a renewed partnership and a process of rebuilding the dispensary into a sustainable source of healthcare, hope, and healing for the community for years to come.
