Mission For Jamaica
Step into the heart of mission this summer as SENT Global invites families to return to Jamaica to continue the healing of the Treasure Beach community after Hurricane Melissa. Together, parents and youth (12 and up) will bring spiritual, physical, and emotional hope to families still rebuilding , serving through prayer, outreach, and acts of love that feed both body and soul. SENT Global is a Catholic missionary nonprofit focused on both the spiritual and corporal works of mercy in poverty-stricken communities. In Jamaica, our teams provide food, clean water, medical aid, and home essentials while sharing the presence of Christ through prayer, evangelization, and compassionate relationship. We are blessed to be accompanied by our dear Father Miguel as chaplain, celebrating Mass and guiding our families spiritually throughout the mission. This family mission is an invitation to step into the story God is writing in Treasure Beach and witness how He continues to transform lives, theirs and ours.
Mission Focus #1
Prayer Ministry
Prayer is the foundation of every SENT Global mission. In Treasure Beach, Jamaica, we partner with local parishes, churches, and community leaders to host healing services and worship nights that share the Gospel through prayer, personal testimonies, and one-on-one ministry, meeting people where they are with compassion and hope.
Each morning our missionary team gathers for formation and prayer so that every participant is spiritually prepared and transformed by the experience. We also distribute children’s and adult Bibles and provide youth formation resources, including Sunday school materials, helping strengthen the faith of the community long after the mission team has returned home.
Mission Focus #2
Community Initiatives
SENT Global partners with Jamaican families and local volunteers to serve those living in extreme poverty, offering one of the most tangible expressions of God’s mercy through security, dignity, and love. Our teams distribute care packages throughout Treasure Beach, each containing enough food to provide at least three nourishing meals for families in need.
We also establish a temporary medical clinic in the village, serving over 100 patients who cannot afford basic care, while providing prayer and compassionate support. In addition, we donate school supplies and sports equipment to local schools and work with community leaders to deliver disaster relief items such as mattresses and essential household staples to families in crisis.
Mission focus #3
Empowering Lasting Change
We visit families throughout Treasure Beach to pray with them, share meals, and listen to their stories—building relationships that embody Christ’s love through presence, compassion, and trust. But our mission does not end when we return home. Every encounter is rooted in the desire to empower the local community to continue the work long after we leave.
By establishing deep rapport with families and trusted leaders, we help fund small businesses and provide the tools and supplies needed for sustainable income, strengthening both households and the broader community. We also equip local believers with biblical strategies to continue spreading the Gospel, encouraging them to pray for one another and lead within their own villages, so that faith, leadership, and hope continue to grow from within.
